The operations department makes sure the business is running smoothly and includes HR, Finance, Legal & Business Operations. As HR you’re responsible for managing the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement and covering everything in between. The Finance department takes care of all accounting, bookkeeping and financial affairs of the scaleup. Most scaleups work with general Finance Managers, whereas others have their own in-house accountants. And Business Operations works cross-departmentally in scaleups to streamline and organize processes.
